Ashley was finishing up her Graduate Degree in Marine Sciences and Jacqueline was working at a local seafood spot. The two met at a mutual friend’s backyard bash. When someone brought out oysters, Ashley and Jacqueline quickly realized they were the only two knife-yielding ladies in the crew, and were volunteered against their wills graciously stepped up to the challenge. They bonded over their love of mongering up fish, working on fishing boats, aesthetic food social media accounts, and a good Irish Whiskey. Their friendship was cemented that evening as they shucked through several hundred oysters for a raucous crew while sipping homemade cocktails under the hazy sky of a Maine mid-summer evening.
